The edition of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchal New Testament was obtained from

This edition, which I will calll KAINH, was presented as the 1904 Patriarchal edition (P1904), by reference to an article by R.D.Dedman praising the 1904 edition, which also cross-references back to the kainh.homestead.com site. That article is available here:

But KAINH differs from P1904 in about 500 places. I base this on a few checks against the original P1904 and a full collation against the Patriarchal text available here:

The 500 differences are not of the typo- or digitization error kind. The text is grammatically plausible, and actually relatively close to P1904, compared to say the Received Text which differs in about 2000 places. It is a text typical of a majority-text type manuscript.
I would like to know more about the KAINH edition - it may have some currency. The email given in the CCEL site for Petros Petallides does not work.
I will check and list all collation differences of KAINH versus the original printed P904 edition, of which I have a scan.
Credit for drawing my attention to some discrepancies and so prompting some further investigation to A.G.S.
Fixing the problem will be many weeks' work.

Some background
----------------
The word "whilst" has been replaced everywhere, but not always by "while".
The word "while" has two common meanings:
(1) temporally, "at the same time as"
(2) to denote a contrast or supplement, "whereas"
In some contexts, it would be ambiguous to use "while" if a temporal relationship
is not intended. In British English, as I am used to it at least, the word
"whilst" is more likely to be used to denote a contrast, and that is the way
I used it in version 0.82.
Where the Greek particle "de" is used, we may retain a weakly adversative
relationship with the word "whereas". The contrast is typically not concessive,
but simply in a change of subject matter.
The list below incudes some suggestions not (currently) adopted,
with some explanations.

But kler- words are connected with inheritance and allocation.
The Companion Bible gives "cast in their lot with",
but that is an active translation of a verb that is passive in form,
and, in my opinion, not deponent, so a genuine passive.
1 Cor 7:5 "Subjective genitive" must be a side comment. Yes, well spotted.
1 Cor 10:6 depictments->depictions.
I think "depictments" / "depictions" gives the sense more accurately than
"examples".
But "illustrations" could be a good alternative.
The things that happened were pictures or illustrations for our learning too.
Phil 2:21-22 The meaning isn't fully clear to me,
(and I'm not sure it is to anyone else), so I have given a fairly
literal translation. One point that is open to question is the function
of patri (dative, to/for a father). Are we to understand
"**serving the** father", or to take the sense sociatively, i.e. "with"?
Douleuo, serve, generally takes the dative, though it
takes eis + accusative in this very verse.
Certainly Paul was like a father to Timothy (1 Cor 4:17, 1 Tim 1:18, 2 Tim 1:2),
and they worked well together, like a good "Father & Son" business.
For now, I have made Phil 2:21 and 2:22 separate verses.
Phil 3:2: "scission": retained.
"Scission" is an artificial word reflecting Paul's usage
of a very rare word to give the connotation of circumcision,
while actually intending a travesty of circumcision.
1 Pet 2:24 by whose weal you were healed. Retained (for now).
The sense is "by whose suffering (i.e. Christ's sacrifice)
you were healed (of your unfitness to approach God etc.)." Note added.
1 Pet 3:16 vilipend -> vilify (also twice in the notes).
1 Pet 4:7. abstemious. Retained (for now). The Greek nefo means
"to drink no wine". But I think it can be taken in context
-- don't drink wine when (or to the extent that) it would
interfere with your prayers. Abstemious, according to Wiktionary,
it does allow for a little drink:
Sparing in diet; refraining from a free use of food and strong
drinks; temperate; abstinent; sparing in the indulgence of the
appetite or passions.
Sparingly used; used with temperance or moderation.
Compare Eph 5:18, 1 Tim 3:3, 1 Tim 3:8, Titus 1:7, Titus 2:3
warning against EXCESSIVE drinking of wine.
"Temperate" sounds stricter to me, because of the "Temperance Movement".
Rev 6:9 personifications -> lives. Some changes made to the note.
Rev 20:4 souls -> lives.
Rev 18:22 flautists. Retained (for now).
I will have to ask my musical friends what they think
-- I suspect they would be sorry to see "flautist" go.

Although a "rebuild" process (generating the different derivatives
of the translation, e.g. converting to Unicode and different book orders)
is largely automated, it typically takes half a day to do, including testing
and checking.
