^1bO Lord our Lord,

How excellent your name is in the whole earth!

So set your majesty over the heavens.

Because of your adversaries,

To silence the enemy and avenger.

³When I see your heavens,

The work of your fingers

– The moon and the stars which you have established –

⁴I ask, “What is man,

⁶You put him in charge of the works of your hands;

⁷Sheep and oxen, all of them,

And also the beasts of the field,

⁸Birds of the sky

And fish of the sea

And whatever crosses the paths of the seas.

⁹O Lord our Lord,

How excellent your name is on the whole earth!
