Psalms Chapter 82

1A Psalm of Asaph.

God stands in a mighty congregation;

He judges in the midst of gods.

2How long will you judge iniquitously

And show partiality to the wicked?

Selah.

3Judge the case of the destitute and the orphan,

And give justice to the needy and the impoverished.

4Deliver the destitute and the poor;

Rescue them from the hand of the wicked.

5They do not know,

And they do not understand.

They walk around in darkness;

All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6I have said,

“You are gods

And you are all sons of the Most High.”

7But you will die like man

And fall like any of the princes.

8Arise, O God;

Judge the earth,

For you will inherit all the Gentiles.
