¹Praise the Lord,

Give praise, you servants of the Lord;

Praise the name of the Lord.

From now on and age-abidingly.

³From the rising of the sun to its setting,

Let the name of the Lord be praised.

⁴The Lord is high above all nations;

His glory is over the heavens.

⁵Who is like the Lord our God?

– Who goes high to dwell,

⁶Who comes low to take a look

In heaven and on earth,

⁷Who raises the destitute man out of the dust,

Who raises the needy out of the dunghill,

⁸To house them with nobles,

With the nobles of his people,

⁹Who installs the barren with a household,

As the joyful mother of sons.
